My Samsung Galaxy A57 5G keeps showing a warning that moisture or foreign material has been detected in the charging port, even when the phone and the surrounding area are completely dry. What's the safest way to inspect and clean the USB-C port so the warning stops without damaging the pins? I'm running Android 16.

Shine a light directly into the port before cleaning it. Built-up lint or dust is a common cause of these warnings. If the alert continues after the port and cable are clean and dry, try another cable and consider having the charging port inspected, since a damaged or dirty connector can trigger the sensor incorrectly.
Use a bright light to inspect both the phone’s USB-C port and the charging cable. Dust and pocket lint can get compressed inside and form a surprisingly dense layer, even when the port looks clean from the outside. You can use short bursts of compressed air on the port and cable, keeping the can upright and avoiding excessive pressure.
A thin plastic pick can also help loosen packed-in debris, but be extremely gentle. Don’t use anything sharp or metallic, and avoid prying against the small metal contacts inside the port.
