I've been happily using openSUSE with KDE Plasma for about six weeks, but I now need an on-screen keyboard for mouse or keyboard navigation rather than touchscreen use. I expected this to be built in, but I can't find a virtual keyboard option in the system settings. What's the easiest way to enable or install one?

KDE Plasma has a virtual keyboard project called Plasma Keyboard. Depending on your Plasma and openSUSE version, it may not be installed or exposed in the settings by default, so check your distribution’s available packages and the keyboard or accessibility sections of System Settings.
You can also try VBoard Enhanced, a standalone on-screen keyboard. It may require downloading the project and following its installation instructions, so it isn’t necessarily a one-click setup. After installing it, launch the keyboard application and configure it to start automatically if you need it available regularly.
I’m not very familiar with installing projects from source. Could someone explain the basic setup steps in simple terms?
