I'm having trouble connecting my AirPods Max to my iCloud account and adding them to Find My. I have two Apple TVs and an iPhone 16 Pro Max. The headphones pair with my phone over Bluetooth, but Find My only shows my phone. When I choose the option to add another item, it searches but never detects the AirPods. Do I need to put the headphones into pairing mode manually?

You generally don’t add AirPods through the “add item” option. Pair them directly with an iPhone or iPad that’s signed in to the same Apple Account, then they should appear automatically in Find My. Make sure Find My and Find My network are enabled on that device, and that iOS is up to date. To put AirPods Max into pairing mode, press and hold the noise control button for about five seconds until the status light flashes white, then pair them from Bluetooth settings.
I’ve paired them with my iPhone, but they still don’t appear in Find My. I’ll check the Find My network setting and try pairing again with the noise control button held down.
