I'm thinking about switching back to Apple, but battery life is a major concern. My current phone often needs to be charged three or four times a day, which is especially frustrating when I'm out. For people using an iPhone 17, how long does the battery typically last with regular use?

That kind of battery drain sounds unusual. My iPhone 16 can last close to two days for me, even with apps like Instagram, TikTok, Messenger, and Spotify. Your current phone may have a faulty battery or an app running constantly in the background.
Check the battery usage screen to see which apps are consuming the most power. A battery health reading of 100% doesn’t always explain rapid drain—background activity, poor signal, location services, or another software issue could still be responsible.
In my experience, the battery is strong enough to last through the day, even with fairly heavy use. With lighter use, you should have plenty of battery left by bedtime.
That sounds promising. I mostly use my phone lightly, so an all-day battery should work well for me.

I couldn’t share a screenshot, but I’ve already had to charge four times today, including while typing this. The battery health still says 100%, so I’m considering switching phones again.
