I've launched a few small web projects that see consistent monthly traffic. It's not massive, but I expected it would at least cover my hosting and tool costs. Unfortunately, the revenue isn't keeping up with the effort I've put in. I've tried several common monetization strategies, but many seem to hurt user experience or barely bring in any income. I'm starting to think that creating the actual project is far easier than figuring out how to make money from it. Am I overlooking something obvious? Do you focus on monetization right away, or do you usually wait?

I totally feel your pain! I recently launched two projects as well, and even with a decent 3.2% CTR on ads, the conversion just isn’t there. It's so frustrating after investing so much time into them.

If you're open to sharing your project details, I'd love to see what you've got. Maybe there are sponsorship opportunities for sites with decent English traffic!
