I'm preparing to buy the remaining parts for my first gaming PC and would appreciate a sanity check before committing. My main target is 1440p gaming, including competitive shooters such as Battlefield, Warzone, and Overwatch, along with demanding RPGs and open-world games like Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher, Elden Ring, Fallout, and God of War. I'd like to use high settings while maintaining strong performance for the next few years.

Does the build look balanced for 1440p? Am I overspending in any area, or is any component noticeably weaker than the rest? Is this more powerful than necessary for 1440p, or is the extra headroom worthwhile for high settings and longevity? I already own a Thermaltake Toughpower GT 1000W power supply, a Thermalright Assassin Digital CPU cooler, and a 2TB Crucial P310 NVMe drive, all purchased at good prices. I'm especially interested in any changes you'd recommend before I buy the remaining parts.

The main thing that stands out is the mixed color scheme. You’re paying a premium for white components, but the motherboard and RAM are black, so the finished system may look a little inconsistent. That isn’t a performance issue, though, and the Micro Center bundle apparently saves nearly $300, which can easily make the trade-off worthwhile. If the deal is that good, I’d prioritize the value and worry less about matching every component.
That’s a fair point. I would have preferred an all-white build, but the bundle savings are hard to pass up, especially since there doesn’t seem to be a comparable white motherboard option with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
