YouTube videos usually trigger the problem after about an hour. During gaming, the fan becomes extremely loud before the laptop either powers off or occasionally leaves the screen completely blank. The same behavior happens when the charger is connected: the fan speeds up, the system gets hot, and watching a video can eventually cause a shutdown. What could be causing this, and what should I check first?

It would be worth checking the BIOS and the CMOS-related settings. Make sure the BIOS is up to date, load its default settings if anything was changed, and confirm that the laptop is using the correct power and fan settings. Also inspect the cooling system for blocked vents or dust, since the louder fan and charger-related heat could indicate restricted airflow or a power-profile issue.
After restarting, check whether the system reports an unexpected shutdown or overheating event. If it boots normally without showing anything, the issue could still be thermal protection, a power-management problem, or a graphics driver crash. Check the Windows Event Viewer for critical errors around the time of the shutdown and monitor CPU temperatures while the laptop is under load.
It starts normally again and does not display a message saying that it shut down because of overheating.
