My iPad is completely unresponsive—how can I restart it?

I'm not sure which iPad model I have, but I can't open any apps or get it to restart. It doesn't have a Home button or Face ID, and Siri isn't enabled, so I can't use a voice command. I've been trying to let the battery run down, but it has only lost about 1% in half an hour. Is there another way to force-restart it?

For an iPad without a Home button, quickly press and release the volume button closest to the top button, then quickly press and release the other volume button. After that, press and hold the top button until the Apple logo appears. Keep holding it for several seconds—even if the screen seems frozen.

I tried the force-restart combination, but it still isn’t responding.
