My PC no longer displays the POST or BIOS screens, although Windows starts normally afterward. I'm not sure when this began, and I haven't changed any BIOS settings or hardware for a long time. The system works correctly when I connect the same monitor using HDMI, including accessing the BIOS and Windows recovery screens. I've already updated to the latest NVIDIA graphics driver and motherboard BIOS, but that didn't help. My hardware is an MSI X570 Unify motherboard, MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X 10G graphics card, and Ryzen 9 5900X processor. Has anyone run into a similar DisplayPort-only issue?

Since HDMI works with the same PC and monitor, check the DisplayPort path specifically: try another certified DP cable, a different DP input on the monitor, and another output on the graphics card. Some monitors or DP connections fail during the low-resolution pre-boot stage but switch over correctly once the graphics driver loads.
This sounds more like a DisplayPort monitor or cable handshake problem than a BIOS setting. Try turning the monitor on first, wait a couple of seconds, and then power on the PC. Some monitors don’t sync quickly enough to display the early boot screen, even though they work once Windows loads.
Fast boot is disabled, and the system is actually entering the BIOS; it just isn’t being displayed over DisplayPort. HDMI shows the BIOS and recovery screens normally.
That matches what I’m seeing. Pressing the BIOS key works, but the display remains black until Windows appears. HDMI works normally, so I’ll focus on the DisplayPort cable, port, and monitor handshake.
