Since the RTX 5060 can run some games at 1440p, would the sharper image be more worthwhile, or should I prioritize the higher refresh rate?

I’d go with the 1440p 144Hz monitor, especially if they cost about the same. At 27 inches, 1080p looks noticeably soft and pixelated, while 1440p gives you a much sharper image. The jump from 144Hz to 240Hz is much less noticeable for most people than the jump from 1080p to 1440p.
The RTX 5060 can play plenty of games at 1440p, but its 8GB of VRAM may require reduced settings or upscaling in newer AAA titles. If you want maximum settings and consistently high FPS in everything, 1080p is safer—but I’d pair it with a 24-inch monitor rather than 27 inches. A 27-inch 1080p display usually looks too blurry.
If competitive games are your main priority and you can actually maintain 200+ FPS, 240Hz could make sense. Otherwise, 1440p 144Hz offers a better balance of image quality and smoothness for this mix of games. It may also be worth checking whether a reasonably priced 1440p 240Hz monitor is available, since those are becoming more common.
The 1440p option is the better all-around choice for your game list. DLSS can help the RTX 5060 handle demanding games, and 144Hz is already very smooth. Games like Black Myth: Wukong and Elden Ring won’t run anywhere near 240 FPS anyway, so the extra refresh rate would mainly matter in lighter competitive games such as CS2.
