I bought an Asus ROG Strix x670E-E motherboard on eBay about two months ago, but I only just got all my other parts today. I didn't check the AM5 socket when it arrived because it was sealed and labeled as new, but now I see that some pins are missing. Should I try to use it anyway to see if it works, or could that cause more damage to other components? I've uploaded a picture of the motherboard here: https://imgur.com/a/JzF3DZq

You definitely want to be cautious here. Missing pins on the AM5 socket could lead to stability issues or even cause damage to your other components if you power it up. It's better to avoid using it for now until you can either repair the pins or get a replacement motherboard. Some people have had success using a repair kit if you feel comfortable trying that, but if you're not experienced with PC hardware, it might be best to reach out to a pro first.
Yeah, I would recommend against using it with missing pins. It could risk frying your CPU or other parts if the power doesn't distribute correctly. Maybe see if you can contact the seller for a return or a replacement? You could also check with local computer shops to see if they can fix the pins or help you out.
