I'm upgrading from an old Fractal Design Focus G Mini alongside a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The current case collects dust quickly, and temperatures rise under load because the PC sits under my desk on a tray in a very small room. I suspect the compact case and restricted airflow are making things worse, especially since the components are fairly powerful for the chassis. My budget is around £100, and I'm considering the NZXT H5 Flow, Phanteks XT Pro, MSI MAG Forge 321R, Corsair FRAME 4000D RS, NZXT H6 Flow, NZXT H7 Flow, NZXT H9 Flow, Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2, Corsair FRAME 4500X, Corsair 3500X, and Fractal Design Epoch. Airflow is my top priority, but I'd also like something reasonably compact for the limited space. Which case would you choose, and are there any better alternatives?

The Corsair FRAME 4000D RS would be my pick from that list. It has strong airflow, good build quality, and is relatively compact compared with some of the larger options. I use two of them and have had a good experience with both.
The NZXT cases are generally well regarded, but make sure you compare their actual fan layouts and included fans rather than choosing by brand alone. For your situation, a front mesh design with several intake fans is more important than extra glass or visual features.
The case will help, but the environment matters too. Vacuum the room regularly, clean the PC and filters, and keep the chassis raised as much as possible. Since it’s under a desk in a cramped space, leave clearance around the intake and exhaust areas so the case isn’t recycling its own hot air.
You may want to look at the Lian Li Lancool 207, Antec Flux, Antec P30 Air, Antec Flux M, or Okinos Air Cross as well. They’re all worth considering around this price, and several offer better airflow-focused layouts than some of the cases on your shortlist. The Lancool 207 in particular is a strong option for roughly £75.

It’s already on a raised tray, but airflow is still quite restricted and the system overheats under load. I think the current small chassis is a major factor because it’s being asked to handle larger components than it was designed for, though I’ll also improve the cleaning routine.
