My third-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro recently stopped recognizing most of my chargers. Steam Deck USB-C chargers no longer show the charging symbol or charge the iPad, even though they still work normally with my Steam Decks, laptops, and AirPods. If the iPad is powered off, connecting one of those chargers causes it to turn on, but it still does not charge afterward. A Mophie charger is still recognized and charges the iPad normally. These chargers worked with the iPad until about a week ago, so I'm wondering whether a recent software update caused the problem. Is this a known issue, and is there a fix for an older iPad Pro?

A recent iPadOS update could be responsible, especially since the same chargers work with other devices and the iPad still accepts power from the Mophie charger. Check the exact update history and install any available minor patch, then restart the iPad and test again. If the issue continues, try cleaning the USB-C port and testing with another USB-C cable, since a marginal connection can affect which chargers the iPad recognizes.
I’m not completely sure when it started, but I suspect it followed an update. I installed the latest minor patch available to me and it didn’t resolve the problem.
