Why won’t my iPhone connect to my PC?

I plugged my iPhone into my PC yesterday, and while it started charging, it didn't show any connection notification on the phone. I tried restarting both my PC and my iPhone, and even updated both devices, but that didn't help. I can't see the Apple driver in Device Manager either. I turned off location services and checked that there are no content and privacy restrictions interfering. To troubleshoot further, I even tested my dad's iPhone, but it didn't connect either. We enabled the 'accessories' option under Face ID and passcode, but we haven't tried using developer mode yet. It seems like it might be an issue with my computer, but I'm not entirely sure, especially since we couldn't connect my dad's phone either, possibly because he doesn't have developer mode like I do.

Have you tried installing iTunes? It often installs the necessary Apple drivers that help with device recognition. Make sure to check if you see the phone icon in iTunes when you connect your iPhone.

I tried both with and without Apple Music installed. Even with iTunes open, I didn’t see any phone icon appearing when I connected the iPhone.
