Since a recent Windows 11 update, my PC has stopped recognizing my Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB SSD. The system reports a SCSI adapter Code 10 error, and Samsung Magician cannot detect the drive either. I have already restarted the computer, tried updating the relevant driver, reinstalled the driver, and rolled back the Windows update, but none of those steps fixed the problem. The motherboard is an MSI MPG Z690 Force WiFi. What else should I check?

Rolling back the Windows update is worth trying, but it may not resolve the problem if the update already changed a driver or storage configuration. Since the SSD is missing from Samsung Magician as well, check whether it is visible in UEFI/BIOS and in Disk Management. If it is not detected at the firmware level, inspect the M.2 slot, reseat the drive, and check the motherboard's storage settings before making changes that could affect existing data.
Check that the proper chipset and storage drivers for the MPG Z690 Force WiFi are installed from MSI's official support page. A Windows update may have changed or replaced one of those drivers, even if the SSD worked correctly for years before this issue.
