I'm currently building my first gaming PC and I've always been a console gamer. I'm considering two graphics cards: the 7900 XT with 20 GB of VRAM and the 9070 (non-XT) with 16 GB of VRAM. I'm looking to game at 1440p and want a setup that will last me about 5-7 years, even if I need to lower the settings as time goes on. Both cards are priced the same, so I'm curious about which one offers better long-term value: the FSR 4 support on the 9070 or the extra 4 GB of VRAM on the 7900 XT.

While the RX 7000 series cards are good, have you checked out what's available in the RX 9000 series? They might offer better performance for your money, depending on pricing. It's not that the RX 7000 cards are useless; they’re solid choices but newer tech can mean longer usability.
FSR 4 is a game changer compared to FSR 3. For example, in games like Wilds, you can see a massive difference in image quality, even when you use it alongside native anti-aliasing. If FSR 4 ends up being widely adopted, it could be a big win for playing years down the line.
Yeah, FSR adoption has been a bit slow compared to DLSS, but you just need to enable FSR 3.1 to access FSR 4 in most settings. I'm hopeful it improves over time!
That's a good point! I'll have to look into the RX 9000 options as well. Thanks for the heads up!
