Hey folks! I accidentally dropped my iPhone 14 into a river, but luckily I caught it before it fully submerged. Now, I'm just getting the notification that there's water in the charging port. I've let it dry, but I noticed it's charging slower than usual. I'm wondering if it's bad to not let it charge overnight, since I might fall asleep and forget about it. Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks!

No worries! The iPhone 14 is designed to handle some exposure to water, so you're probably good as long as the port is dry. Just give it some time, and feel free to use it normally. If it’s charging a bit slower, it might be the port still drying out.
I’d keep an eye on that charging port. Being exposed to moisture doesn't always end well. If you're still worried, consider taking it to a repair shop just to make sure everything's okay and check for any hidden water damage.
My dad checked and said there's no damage, just some drying needed. Thankfully, the phone's still under warranty too!
Yeah, try charging it wirelessly for a while. That might help if there's still some moisture in the port.
