Advice for Building a $700 PC with New Parts

I'm planning to build my own PC and have set a budget of $700. I'm specifically looking to purchase all new parts from Amazon, as that's the only retailer I can use. Right now, I'm holding off on buying until RAM prices drop a bit. If you have any recommendations or suggestions for parts, I'd really appreciate your input! Here's my preliminary parts list: [link to PC part list].

You might want to skip the aftermarket CPU cooler since the stock one that comes with the Ryzen 5 5500 is perfectly fine for your needs. Use the money you save from that to upgrade your GPU, like going for an RTX 5050—it’ll make a big difference in performance! Just a heads up, if you could shop elsewhere, there's a decent RTX 5060 available for $250 that fits within your budget and is way better than some other options.

Have you considered repurposing parts from an old computer? You could get multiple components for less, like RAM, motherboards, and other accessories. Just a thought if you’re open to mixing old and new!

Wow, I can’t believe someone actually liked my last comment—thank you! I was nearly ready to give up on this whole forum thing.

I have some spare parts from two old computers I’m looking to sell. I sometimes overthink my posts though, so if my suggestions come off muddled, I apologize for that!
