Advice Needed for Building My First PC

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building my first PC, having only used a gaming laptop before. I've done quite a bit of research but still have some questions, especially about how to figure out part sizes to choose a case that fits everything well. I've heard that PC part picker doesn't account for sizing properly. Here's what I have so far:
- **CPU**: Ryzen 9 9950x
- **GPU**: ASRock Taichi Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6
- **Motherboard**: GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO
- **RAM**: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 6000
- **CPU Cooler**: MSI MAG Coreliquid A15 240
- **SSD**: Samsung SSD 9100 PRO 4TB
- **Case**: TBD
- **PSU**: TBD

Here are my questions:
1. What size case do you recommend for these components?
2. Is it okay to use an all-in-one cooler and add regular cooling fans?
3. Do the extra fans need to be from a specific brand?
4. Can anyone suggest a reliable PSU that will last long and fit my case?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

1. Any ATX case should work well with your components.
2. Absolutely, you can pair an AIO cooler with regular fans without any issue.
3. The fans don’t have to be from the same brand; just make sure they fit your case and have the right specs.
4. If you're looking for a PSU, the Montech Century II is a solid choice, if it’s available where you are.

Also, quick feedback on your list: you might want to consider the Ryzen 9800X3D instead of the 9950X for gaming, as the 9950X might be overkill since most games don’t use more than 8 cores. You could also save some cash going for a B850 motherboard unless there's a specific feature you need from the X870E. And for storage, most apps won't take advantage of PCIe 5.0 speeds, so maybe aim for something like a 990 Evo Plus to save some money.

Thanks for the insights! Regarding the PSU, would spending a bit more on a 1000w option be worth it for future-proofing? And do motherboards really impact performance significantly? Lastly, could you share examples of what does benefit from high transfer speeds?

Exactly! If you focus on heavy productivity and gaming, the 9950X3D could be a smart pick. Plus, if you're looking at the 9800X3D, a budget air cooler would probably do just fine. I saw that AIO you mentioned, it's in the $90 range here; might be worth checking out!
