Hey everyone! I'm super excited because I've finally got the chance to build my very first gaming PC, but to be honest, I feel a bit lost with all the technical details. I've done a bit of research and managed to select some components that I think will work for me.
My main aim is to game at 1440p, focusing mainly on single-player titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, and Resident Evil 4, with occasional bouts of Street Fighter 6. Plus, I'm looking forward to diving into the new Doom.
Here's what I've picked out for my build:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- **Cooler:** DeepCool LT720
- **Motherboard:** ASUS PRIME X870-P
- **RAM:** G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB (DDR5-6000)
- **Storage:** ADATA Legend 800 1TB
- **GPU:** Radeon RX 7800 XT
- **Case:** Corsair 3000D
- **PSU:** MSI MAG A1000GL
I would really appreciate any thoughts or recommendations you might have on this setup! Thanks in advance!

For your PSU, I'd recommend going with an 850W rather than the 1000W you have in the list; that's plenty for your build. Also, I’d steer clear of ADATA drives as they're not the most reliable. Maybe consider spending a bit more on a different SSD brand with better performance. An air cooler could be a good alternative too for keeping things cool.
Hey! Your build looks solid for 1440p gaming! Just a tip, make sure to check compatibility between the motherboard and your RAM. And yeah, an SSD upgrade would be smart for loading times. Overall, it should hold up well for the games you're into!
I appreciate it! Do you think the CPU and GPU combo will last me a good while?
Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely look into SSD options and the cooler.
