Advice Needed for My First PC Build Before Purchase

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to buy parts for my first PC build and would love to get some feedback. My friend, who's quite the PC enthusiast, has helped me along the way, but they suggested I check here for more perspectives before making any purchases. The only part I can't change is the GPU since it's already on the way - I hope that's okay!

Here's the current parts list I'm considering:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor ($628.77)
- **CPU Cooler:** NZXT Kraken 360 RGB Liquid CPU Cooler ($249.00)
- **Motherboard:** MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard ($253.00)
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (DDR5-6000 CL36) ($160.30)
- **Storage:** TEAMGROUP T-FORCE G50 4 TB NVME SSD ($349.00)
- **Video Card:** Gigabyte AERO OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti ($1669.00)
- **Case:** Corsair 3500X ARGB ATX Mid Tower Case ($138.00)
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RM850e 850 W Fully Modular Power Supply ($159.00)

**Total Cost:** $3606.07

I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions you have. Thanks a bunch!

You could save quite a bit by swapping the CPU cooler for a less expensive model like the Thermalright Aqua Elite V3. It performs just as well and you’d save some cash. Also, 4 TB is pretty excessive if you're mostly gaming. Maybe consider starting with a 2 TB SSD and add more later if needed?

Haha, I feel you! I've been running 1 TB for ages, so I wanted to treat myself to some space. I'll definitely check out the Thermalright option. Thanks!

It really depends on your overall budget. That cooler is on the pricey side; you can easily cool the 7800X3D for much less. Also, the X50e PSU cables are sometimes reported to be stiff, just something to keep in mind. Prices in AU are definitely a shocker! Happy building!

Yeah, things are pricey here! Thanks for the advice. I picked that cooler mainly for looks and the cool screen feature, but I haven’t purchased it yet. I’ll definitely take your comments about cables into account!

Your build looks solid! One suggestion would be to consider swapping the RAM for a 6000 CL30 kit if it's not too much more expensive. The performance difference isn't huge, but if aesthetics are a priority, you might prefer RAM that matches your setup better. By the way, I put together a revised parts list that includes some white components for a cleaner look!

Great idea! I found a better-priced option and updated my list. Thanks for the tip!
