Advice Needed for My New Gaming PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm finally diving into a new computer build since my current one is 7 years old. I'm looking to build a budget-friendly PC that can handle the latest games on ultra graphics settings. Here are my current specs:

- **Motherboard:** ASUS MB PRIME B650M-K
- **CPU:** Ryzen 7 7700
- **RAM:** Kingston 5200 MHz DDR5 16GB
- **GPU Options:** ASROCK VGA RX 9060 XT 16GB or Gigabyte 5060 Windforce MAX OC
- **Power Supply:** ASROCK 650W Bronze Pro
- **SSD1:** WD SSD 500GB Black SN7100 NVMe
- **SSD2:** WD SSD 1TB Black SN7100 NVMe

I'm unsure about which GPU to pick and am considering upgrading to a 750W PSU instead of the 650W. I've heard some not-so-great reviews about the motherboard, so I'm hoping for suggestions on a replacement in the same price range. Also, I could use a good CPU cooler recommendation since I'm a bit out of the loop on PC components these days. Thanks for your help!

Just curious, what resolution are you aiming for with your new monitor? A 7700 won't provide that much of a gaming edge over other CPUs. You might want to look at the Ryzen 7600X—it’s cheaper and still gets the job done. Also, there's no need for two SSDs right now; go for a 1TB and consider partitioning if you want a separate OS drive later. Lastly, I'd check the PSU quality—it's pretty crucial. Aim for a reputable brand!

I'm planning to keep it at 1080p, and my budget is between $1500-$2000. Targeting 60+fps with ultra settings would be ideal, and I'm located in Bosnia.

With the AM5 platform and your budget, it might be tough to get great quality without compromising performance. If you’re leaning towards the 9060 XT, be aware that it's more of an entry-level card. I’d suggest you consider at least a 5070 or 9070 for better longevity and performance fairness. Everyone used to say to allocate around 35-45% of the budget to the GPU, but prices have shifted.

For cooling, the ID-COOLING SE-903-XT is a decent budget cooler if you want to keep costs low.

I appreciate the breakdown! I'll be sure to check that cooler out.

Choosing between the GPUs, most would say go for the 9060 XT over the 5060 unless there's a huge price difference. But seriously, why not just get a better PSU? A 750W isn’t really necessary for your setup. Also, about that motherboard—what were the major complaints you came across? And are you set on a micro ATX board?

The GPU comparison looked similar to me, and I've always used Nvidia before. For the motherboard, reviews mentioned issues with overheating and BIOS problems. I left the parts choice to someone else based on a budget I gave.
