I'm a complete beginner when it comes to upgrading PCs, and I'm looking to replace my GPU with an RTX 5080 and my CPU with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D. My question is whether I should also upgrade my motherboard, fans, and power supply while I'm at it. Here's my current build: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/tY8FW4. Any guidance would be hugely appreciated!

First off, just to clarify, the Ryzen 9 9950HX3D is actually a mobile CPU, I think you meant the 9950X3D. It uses the same socket, so you won't need to replace your motherboard unless you're ready to splurge. Just make sure you grab the 9950X3D, the RTX 5080, and keep in mind that you'll need a beefier power supply since those components can be quite power-hungry! Your current cooler should work fine, but the need for new fans depends on your case's airflow—if it’s good, you might not need to replace them. A good starting point, right?

Thanks for catching that about the CPU! If I were to consider upgrading the fans later, do you have any recommendations? What about a new PSU?
