Advice Needed on Integrating Custom Frontend with WordPress for a Jewelry Business

Hey everyone! I previously posted about creating a website for a small jewelry business, and thanks to your suggestions, I've decided to simplify my approach. I've built most of the frontend using Vite JS with some dummy data, and the client is really happy with how it looks. Now, I'm planning to use WordPress/WooCommerce for the backend. My question is, do you think I can integrate the JS code I created into a custom WordPress theme? I understand WordPress is primarily PHP, but it seems like I could incorporate my frontend work. I'm also setting up a staging server with password protection so the business owner can start adding products. I'd appreciate any tips or advice on this process to avoid making any big mistakes. Thanks!

Just a heads-up, if you opt for a custom theme, you'll need to keep it updated whenever WordPress rolls out updates. This might complicate things and could expose your client to potential security risks. It’s usually safer to go with a tried-and-tested theme made for WooCommerce. Plus, think about future scenarios—if something happens to you, it could be tough for someone else to figure out your custom setup.

What do you suggest I do instead? The existing themes look so generic, and the client invested quite a bit for a custom site. If I have to keep the theme updated, how often is that? Could it be manageable for the monthly support fee I'm getting?
