Am I at risk for malware after clicking on a suspicious link?

I feel a bit embarrassed sharing this, but I accidentally clicked on a video while browsing a site that I shouldn't have, and it redirected me to an external website. I left immediately, but I'm really concerned about whether I've inadvertently let malware into my computer. I'm currently running a full scan, but I've heard that scans aren't always fully effective. I didn't enter any information on that site or click anything, just exited right away.

Honestly, you could just get a new computer and leave it all behind... just kidding! You're probably fine. Major adult sites usually don't let any harmful pop-ups slip through. If you haven't noticed anything downloading or your computer acting weirdly, you should be good. Just run that scan for some peace of mind and move on!

Thanks, man! That makes me feel a lot better.

I’m not too tech-savvy either, but if something did get downloaded, would it show up somewhere?
