Am I in danger after clicking a porn ad by mistake?

So, I accidentally clicked on this porn ad that had some scary message about trafficking, and now I'm really worried I might be in danger or tracked by some random person. I don't have any antivirus software or a VPN on my Android device, and I'm unsure if it's even possible to install antivirus on Android. Can anyone tell me if I'm actually at risk of being tracked just because I clicked that ad?

You're being a bit paranoid! Ads can track some data, but it's not as bad as it sounds. They aren’t going to come after you in real life or anything. And yes, you can use a VPN on Android. It won't hurt to have an extra layer of privacy.

No worries, you're probably fine! Just remember, while ads can collect some data, they typically don't track your location just from a click. If you want to be safer in the future, consider installing an ad blocker. If you're on Firefox, try Ublock Origin. Also, you might want to clear your cookies and browsing history now, just for peace of mind.

Honestly, what even is tracking? I was worried about that too, but just know that they’re not necessarily tracking you physically. You can also consider using browsers that have built-in ad blocking features, like Brave, so you don’t run into issues like this again in the future.

You're probably okay! Just get an ad blocker for next time, like uBlock Origin. Also, using apps that block trackers can add an extra layer of protection to your device.
