I really need some advice because I'm freaking out here! A few weeks back, I signed up for a big hackathon focused on developing AI agents. I filled out a lengthy application, shared my past projects, and then just forgot about it until I got accepted today (the event is in 4 days!). The problem is, I haven't really deployed any serious projects beyond some mini-projects from The Odin Project and a few fun side projects. I'm currently learning React but don't even know Node.js. The only team experience I've had is creating a not-so-great iOS app during a summer bootcamp. I was clear on my application that I wanted to contribute as a software engineer or UX/UI designer, not as an ML engineer. Still, the scale of this hackathon is really intimidating, especially since I barely understand the process for building AI agents. Should I go for it anyway, considering the networking opportunities, or should I hold off until I feel more prepared? I'm just so scared of embarrassing myself!

You’ve got nothing to lose! You might end up at the bottom of the scoreboard, but it’s still valuable. You'll learn a lot about the hackathon process, and there’s always a chance to connect with others. Plus, even if things go south, you’ll gain insights you can't learn from doing nothing!
