I'm about to purchase my new gaming rig and wanted to check if there's anything I might be missing or could optimize before finalizing the deal. Here's what I have so far:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO 69 CFM CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 ATX AM5 Motherboard
- **Memory**: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
- **Storage**: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
- **Video Card**: Gigabyte AERO OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- **Case**: Fractal Design Focus G ATX Mid Tower Case
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular
The total comes to around $1984.35. I want to keep it under $2000 and prioritize performance over aesthetics. I'm set on sticking with an NVIDIA GPU, but I'm open to any comments or suggestions on this build!

Consider switching to the Phantom Spirit 120 SE for your cooler—it's just as effective and a bit cheaper! Also, your case only has 2 intake fans, so I'd recommend adding a 120mm Arctic P12 as an exhaust fan for about $10. Otherwise, your build looks good!
Actually, the Phantom Spirit EVO 69 performs about 5% better; it's closer to Noctua NH-D15 level.
Your build is pretty solid! I'd also recommend adding a second SSD (1TB or 500GB minimum) for your OS and programs. A Gen3 NVME drive is fine for that. It saves you a headache with Windows updates like I had; having a separate drive was a lifesaver!
1) Think about swapping to a B650m or B850m motherboard to save some money.
2) For storage, consider upgrading to the SN770 or SN850x; it’ll enhance your game update experience.
3) Look into the 9070xt options, as I've seen them for around $750 while the 5070 Ti is priced around $850.
You might want to grab a B650 motherboard for around $150-$165, which could free up some cash for a 2TB NVME SSD. Everything else looks solid!
Thanks, that’s a great suggestion! A 2TB SSD will fit right into my budget with the B650!
Appreciate the info on the case fan!
