Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first gaming PC and would love your thoughts on the components I've picked. Here's what I have so far:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Graphics: GeForce RTX 5070
- Motherboard: B650 Gaming X AX
- Power Supply: MWE Gold 850 V2
- SSD: Samsung 990 PRO 1TB NVMe
- Case: CORSAIR 3500X ARGB Mid-Tower ATX

I've done quite a bit of research, but as a newbie, I'm looking for any advice or opinions you all have! Thanks a lot!

Hey! Everything looks solid, but you might want to think about getting a bigger SSD if you're planning to play a lot of games. Alternatively, consider a smaller NVMe SSD for your OS and some games, then a larger SATA SSD for everything else. I've got a 1TB Samsung 980 PRO for my OS and I use a 2TB Samsung EVO for games, and it works great!

That sounds great. Thanks for the advice!

Honestly, your CPU and SSD speed seems a bit overkill for your needs. You might want to downsize a little for better value unless you’re planning on streaming or doing heavy multitasking.

Recommendations for changes?

Answered By AMD_Advocate On

The GPU you've chosen is good, but I've shifted towards AMD lately and recommend the 9070 XT or 9060 XT for better price-to-performance. AMD usually offers better value, especially with FSR 4 looking promising. Just something to think about in relation to your budget! Overall, you’ve got a good setup for gaming!
