I'm looking into power cables for my PC, and I noticed that the replacement 20+4-pin ATX power cable from BeQuiet has AWG ratings of 18/20/22. I have a few questions: 1) What exactly do these AWG ratings mean for the cables? 2) What gauge do the included cables from the PSU have? 3) Would it be better to go for 16 AWG cable extensions from brands like EZDIY-FAB or Asia Horse instead of the replacement cables from BeQuiet? I'm mainly interested in improving the aesthetics of my setup, but I'm concerned about voiding my warranty or causing any overheating issues. Thanks for any insights!

If BeQuiet's replacement is rated at 18 AWG, it’s pretty likely that the original PSU cables are similar. Typically, PCI-E and EPS cables might be 18 AWG while others could be 20 or 22 AWG. Keep an eye on the ratings, and don’t stress too much about the extensions – the OEM cables are solid!
Honestly, it sounds like you might be overthinking this. In most cases, the cable extensions you see from brands like EZDIY or Asia Horse aren't going to be much better quality than those from BeQuiet. You can use any extensions you prefer, and the original cables from the PSU should be perfectly fine. No need to worry too much about the AWG ratings here!
Thanks for the reassurance! I’ve just been hearing so many mixed reviews about cable extensions.

I see, I wasn't aware of that! The 20+4-pin is my main concern, but I noticed the PCI-E cable is 16 AWG, which seems odd. Any thoughts on that?
