It really depends—are we still in 2021? Because that timeframe feels different than today.
Honestly, I’d say your time might be better spent networking at tech meetups or attending university career fairs. They can provide much better opportunities for connecting with the right people.
I did a bootcamp in 2021 and landed a junior dev position in 2022, so I was a fan of them. But now, I honestly think unless it’s focused on AI and teaches you how to utilize new tech, it's probably not worth it anymore.
I think it's a waste of time. It's better to pursue a formal education. I'd suggest taking a couple of intro courses at a local community college with a supportive professor. If those go well, you can keep going towards an associate's degree in CS and reassess from there based on your interests and job prospects.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend a bootcamp if you're aiming for a serious career in computer science. It might've been effective a couple of years back, but times have changed.
