I'm new to Linux and I'm looking for a distro that doesn't have constant updates. I initially thought about using Arch, but the frequent updates are a bit overwhelming for me. Are there any alternatives that minimize the need for updates?

You don’t need to update your distro if you don’t want to, unlike Windows which pushes updates. However, not updating can leave you vulnerable to security issues or software incompatibility down the line. So, while you can skip updates, it's better to keep them in mind.
Most popular distros will have some updates, but you're not forced to install them. For fewer updates, check out LTS versions or immutable distros like Nix. LTS focuses mainly on security updates, while immutable ones have a unique approach worth exploring.
That's solid advice! Being cautious about updates while still considering security is key.
