I'm looking to build a budget gaming PC that can hit around 120 fps in shooters. I want to hold off on buying a dedicated GPU for now, so I'm considering getting a CPU with integrated graphics. Eventually, I plan to upgrade to a 3060 Ti. My budget for the CPU is around $150. Any recommendations?

Honestly, I wouldn’t waste money on just an iGPU. You could probably find a decent second-hand PC build that’s lower or mid-tier. That way, you could upgrade later without breaking the bank. Sometimes buying used gives you better value than just a CPU and board.
You should really have one total budget for the entire PC instead of separating it out for different parts. Setting a total budget could help you pick the best components overall.
Not sure about prices in your area, but maybe look for a used 7600 or 5600? Alternatives like the 8500G might also work if you're looking for an iGPU.
If you're after a strong iGPU, the AMD 8000 series, like the 8600G, is worth considering. There might even be cheaper versions available that could fit your needs.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Definitely check out AMD CPUs! If you already have a motherboard, that could influence your choice too. Have you looked into any specific models yet?
Which model would you suggest?
Great tip, thanks!
APUs can be decent, but if you want value, go for something with a better overall performance!
