Hey everyone! I'm excited to be diving into building my first PC, mainly for gaming (like Fortnite, Valorant, Hogwarts Legacy) and handling some office tasks. I've got a budget cap of €900, and with RAM prices dropping, I think this might be the perfect time to grab my components. I've put together a parts list, which you can check out here: [pcpartpicker link]. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my selection, and any tips or alternatives you might suggest!

I have a similar setup, and I chose the 5700X (it has 8 cores) and honestly, it's been great. Just a heads-up, if you're into things like AI or ML, CUDA support isn’t as easily available with this setup because of the 7600.

Going straight with a 5600 or even the 5700X could be solid choices for your build. They offer great performance for the price!

Thanks a lot for the advice!

Honestly, that build seems pretty mediocre considering the price point. You might want to check for second-hand options—after holidays, there can be some great deals on entire setups or quality parts.

I recommend checking out the 9060XT or 5060Ti for your graphics card. They might be a bit pricier, but not by much, and you’ll be able to upgrade your CPU more easily down the line. Definitely worth considering!

You might also look into the 14100f if there's a good deal on a motherboard. It could be a great addition!

Here’s a potential build you could try!
CPU: i5 12/13/14400f (€100-150)
Motherboard: DDR4 (€80)
RAM: 16-32GB DDR4 (€100-150)
Storage: 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (€100)
Power Supply: 80+ Gold, 650W (€65-75)
Case: (€50-60)
CPU Cooler: (€25)
Then, use the remaining budget for the best GPU you can find!

To help you better, where are you buying the parts from? And do you have a monitor already? What’s the resolution? Also, how are you set for peripherals like your mouse and keyboard?

I’m based in France, and I've got all my peripherals ready: a mouse, keyboard, and a full HD 1920 x 1080 monitor. Planning to upgrade the screen next year!
