Best Computer Science Programs for a Degree

I'm planning to pursue a degree in Computer Science after completing two coding boot camps—one focused on PERN and the other on Java, Angular, Spring-Boot, and PostgreSQL. I've also taken a C++ course on Coursera and worked on several projects, but I'm struggling to land a job without a formal degree. What schools do you recommend? I've heard mixed opinions about degrees being irrelevant, but my recent experience suggests otherwise. I'm considering Southern New Hampshire University but want to ensure that it's a sound choice. Any thoughts?

Honestly, just go for the best school you can afford. Some people will say it doesn't matter, but elite schools do have an edge. Just having a degree usually checks one box for employers, so make sure it’s from a place that’s recognized.

I only know a few elite schools like Harvard or Stanford. Will a degree from an online school like Southern New Hampshire still be taken seriously?

Look for CS programs where the faculty are active in research and the curriculum is well-rounded. Check what kind of projects students can get involved with and how well the program connects with the tech industry. Those aspects can make a big difference!

Are you looking for a bachelor's degree? It seems like the right choice given your background.
