I'm looking for advice on what CPU would work best with an RTX 3070. Currently, I have an Intel i5 9400F, and I feel it's not performing as well as I'd like. I want to upgrade my CPU, but I also want to ensure that I can smoothly upgrade my GPU in the future. Any recommendations, ideally sticking with Intel?

If you can, get the best CPU that fits your budget! The RTX 3070 is still a pretty solid GPU, especially with DLSS. If you're considering AMD, the X3D chips are still decent if you can find them for a good price. Just remember, switching from Intel to AMD usually means reinstalling Windows and all your drivers, so keep that in mind.

I'd suggest looking at the i5 12400F or the i5 13600K paired with a B760 DDR4 motherboard. Plus, you can reuse your existing DDR4 RAM to save some money!
