I'm looking to upgrade my current gaming setup which consists of an Intel i5-10400F processor, Zalmann 9900 cooler, Spectrix DDR4 2x8GB RAM, an RTX 4060 Ti GPU from Gigabyte (3x Ventus), NZXT S340 case, M.2 WDBlack 850x 1TB Gen4 SSD, a Gigabyte LGA1200 motherboard, a 1TB WD Blue HDD, and a 600W 80+ Bronze EVGA power supply. I think I can keep the GPU, case, SSD, and HDD for the upgrade, but I know I need to transition to DDR5 RAM. I'm considering a 2x16GB DDR5 kit, a new motherboard, cooler, and of course, a new CPU. What CPU would be ideal to pair with the 4060 Ti? Also, will I need to upgrade my power supply? Thanks in advance!

You could go for an i7-11700K and grab another 16GB of DDR4 RAM for now. This way, you can hold off on DDR5 until prices drop. Your performance won't be bottlenecked until you hit a 4070 Super or higher anyway. With your current setup, this should give you a nice bump without breaking the bank right now.

That’s a solid plan! But if you want to push for more power in the future, consider switching to AM4 and maybe look at a Ryzen 5000 series.
