I'm currently using an Intel 12400F CPU with an Asus B660m WiFi motherboard. I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a 3070 to a 9070xt, but I'm also considering what CPU upgrade would be best to pair with it. Any suggestions?

Honestly, given that your motherboard has limited VRMs and is DDR4, I wouldn't bother upgrading the CPU while keeping that board. You might want to look into upgrading your motherboard as well for better performance.
It really depends on what resolution you're gaming at. If you're playing at 1440p, you might not need to rush into a CPU upgrade right away. Focus on the GPU first and see how that affects your performance.
Upgrading to an i7 12700KF or even the 13700KF would be solid choices. They'll handle pretty much everything you throw at them and work well with your new GPU.
Your B660 motherboard supports both 12th and 13th gen Intel CPUs. I'd recommend upgrading the GPU first, especially if you're going higher resolutions like 1440p or 4k. Then you can figure out if you really need a CPU upgrade later.
I had a similar setup and switched to AMD because my B660m didn't handle the upgrade well. If your motherboard is decent, you can go for a 13th or 14th gen Intel chip. Otherwise, considering AM5 could give you a way bigger boost for the future.
I'm gaming at 1440p, just to clarify!
