I'm thinking about switching my PC's OS from Linux Mint to Ubuntu Server since I run my Jellyfin library on it. I'm comfortable with using the terminal for tasks like copying and pasting files, but frequently adding multiple movies, music, and series makes me realize that running everything solely through the terminal would be quite the hassle. I really need a file manager that I can use locally to transfer files in an easier way. Has anyone found any good options to install for this purpose?

You can't install a traditional file manager on Ubuntu Server without adding a full desktop environment, which kind of defeats the purpose. Servers are intended to be managed without a UI, but if it's just for you and your family, it's totally fine to set one up. Just keep in mind it might use more resources.

I get that point, but I really don't care about the performance hit since it’s just us using it.
