Hey everyone! My son is eager to get a gaming monitor for his PS5, and we're also considering a PC for him down the line. He's primarily into games like Fortnite, Warzone, Rocket League, and FIFA. I'm wondering if I should be looking for a 4K monitor since games like Warzone and Fortnite support 4K at 120Hz, or should I go for something like a UW 3440x1440p? My budget is a bit tight, around £300 or $400. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'd advise against going ultra-wide since consoles don't fully support them. They technically work, but you might end up with black bars on the sides, which can be a bit off-putting.
Just a heads-up, the PS5 is limited to 120Hz. So you’ll want to focus on that smoothness rather than resolution alone. Look for a display that supports that refresh rate, but also consider how the games will look overall!
For your son, I’d recommend going with a 1440p 144Hz 32-inch monitor. It strikes a good balance between image quality and refresh rate, especially for console gaming. But keep in mind the screen size can affect how sharp the resolution looks, so make sure to check that out!
1280x960 on a 32-inch might not look great, just a heads up!
