Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a solid GPU to pair with my Ryzen 7 3700X. My main focus is 1080p gaming, but I wouldn't mind stepping up to a graphics card that can handle 1440p if it's within my budget of $300 to $500. I have a preference for NVIDIA cards, but I'm open to anything that's compatible with my setup. I'm also planning to upgrade my entire PC in the future, so I want to get something that's a good fit right now.
Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
- GPU: None currently (previously had a 2080 Super)
- Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB DDR4-3200
- Cooling: Corsair H100i RGB Platinum Liquid Cooler
- Power Supply: EVGA 750 GQ 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular
If I missed anything or you have questions, feel free to ask! I'm just looking for advice on the best GPU for my budget and specs. Thanks a lot!

Check out the RX 6800 XT or the RTX 5060 Ti. Both have 16 GB, so avoid the 8 GB versions. They’re both great options for your budget!
For 1080p gaming, I’d suggest looking for a 5700X3D and then grab the best used GPU you can find with the leftover budget. It should provide great performance without breaking the bank!
Thanks for the tip! Any specific recommendations for a used GPU that I should keep an eye out for?
I run a store and I might just have the perfect GPU fitting your budget! Feel free to reach out for details.
Thanks for the heads up! Between those two, which one do you think performs better? I’m leaning towards the 5060 Ti, but AMD is looking pretty appealing too.
