I'm building a new PC and just bought a Ryzen 7 7700x. I've already spent about $500 on the build. I'm considering whether to get the new 9060 with 16GB VRAM or look for a used graphics card, or if I should invest a bit more in a GPU. I mainly want to play VR games and graphically intensive titles, and I'm gaming on a 1440p monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate. What would be the best option?

For VR gaming, you'll want something more powerful, like an RX 9070 or RTX 5070. It really depends on the specific games you play and the resolution. Also, if you can, consider returning the 7700X for a cheaper 9600X—gaming performance is quite similar unless you’re multitasking or doing productivity work.
I wouldn't recommend buying used GPUs for this price range. I suggest getting the 9060XT; it offers pretty solid performance at 1440p and is perfect for 1080p gaming too.
I found a killer deal on my CPU, got it for just $117!
