Hey everyone, I'm on a mission to find the best lightweight Linux distribution for my ASUS E410Ma laptop, which has just 4GB of RAM. As a newbie to the Linux scene, I've already tried a few distros like Mint, Debian 12, and Endeavour OS. I'm looking for something that's light but also up-to-date and reliable. Also, is LXQt really the lightest desktop environment out there? Thanks a ton for any recommendations!

You might want to try out some really lightweight options like Tiny Core Linux or antiX. It also helps to know what you'll primarily use your laptop for, so we can suggest better fits.

I’m mostly using it for browsing and light programming.

Anything with XFCE setup should work well for your needs. It's lightweight and offers a good balance of performance and features for low-spec machines.
