I'm really into gaming and I have quite a few titles that aren't available on Steam. I'm planning to switch to Linux as my main OS. What Linux distribution do you think would work best for gaming, especially if I want to use Wine for playing those non-Steam games?

Bazzite is a solid choice for gaming since it's designed specifically with gamers in mind. I found that it works well with most setups, especially with the KDE desktop environment.

If you're looking for something modern, try CachyOS. It's based on Arch, so it's got the latest drivers and packages, plus a great community for support. You might want to check out the Heroic Games Launcher for non-Steam titles too!

If technology feels overwhelming, go with Bazzite for an easy ride. If you're more tech-savvy, CachyOS might give you more flexibility. Either way, you can't go wrong!

I’ve tried a few distros, and for gaming, Bazzite with KDE is the best combo I've seen. Other setups like Mint with XFCE have some issues with graphics cards. So if you're serious about gaming, Bazzite might be your best bet.

Honestly, it doesn't make too much of a difference which distro you choose. They're just collections of packages with minor differences in compilation. Go with a well-maintained and documented distribution and you should be good to go.
