Hey everyone! With Windows 10 no longer receiving updates, I'm fully diving into Linux. I'm currently running an Ubuntu server for self-hosting on another computer, but now I'm looking for the best Linux distro to use on my main desktop. As someone who's learning Linux, I want to be able to game, write, do some research, maybe work with a 3D printer, and learn coding as well. My system specs are a 1TB SSD, an R5 3600 CPU, an Nvidia 2060 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. I've been hearing good things about Pop!_OS, especially with the new Cosmic DE, and I'm curious about other options like Arch, though I'm not quite ready for its potential instability. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Linux Mint is also a solid starting point for anyone switching to Linux. It’s user-friendly and has a familiar interface if you come from Windows!
For a new Linux user, I would highly recommend sticking with Ubuntu. It’s beginner-friendly and has plenty of resources for learners.
Honestly, the distro choice isn’t the most critical part. What really matters is the desktop environment! That affects how your user interface looks and feels. You can start with whatever comes by default with the distro you pick if you're not too picky. That's where the fun begins, getting into how you want your system to look and operate!
Honestly, go with whatever feels right to you. Are you comfortable with Ubuntu? If yes, you might want to just stick with it for now. But if you're curious about others, know that you can do all the tasks you mentioned on any mainstream distro. Just give it a shot!
If you're looking for specific options, I’d suggest trying Zorin, MX Linux, Ultramarine Linux, or Nobara. They all offer different experiences and could fit your needs well!
