I'm looking to install Linux on a gaming laptop for a family member. What are the best distribution options available? Additionally, what is the situation with drivers? Do I need to worry about them, or are there versions that handle gaming well without extra work?

Bazzite is a solid choice! It works right out of the box without needing to deal with drivers, so it's super easy to get started with.
If you want something more customizable, an Arch-based distro can get sleep and suspend working perfectly. Just a heads-up, though—it's a bit tricky compared to other options.
Debian handles it fine too, just saying!
Yeah, Bazzite is really beginner-friendly and includes gaming optimizations plus drivers, so it's tough to mess up.

Thanks, I'll definitely check it out!
