Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a gaming PC from scratch and finally snagged a 5070ti GPU and a 9800x3d CPU at good prices. Now I'm on the hunt for a compatible motherboard. I'm leaning towards one that has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but I'm not too sure beyond that. I've found three chipset options that seem compatible: X870, X670, and B650, ordered from most to least expensive. I've heard about E versions of these boards, and a friend mentioned they might be more future-proof if I can get a decent deal on one. His priority list was X870E > X670E > X870 = B650E. However, the X870E seems a bit pricey for my needs (around 300€). I'm curious to know how the X670E compares to X870 and B650E, especially since they all seem to fall in the 180-200€ range. Any thoughts?

The E versions are usually just minor tweaks like extra USB ports or PCIe 5.0. For your needs, X670E should work perfectly. Just remember to check out reviews for specific models since not all boards are the same. Also, I'd steer clear of Asrock boards; they tend to have compatibility issues with x3d CPUs.
I think the B650 will serve you well for your setup! Aorus makes some great boards that suit the x3d chips nicely with dedicated BIOS updates.
You don’t need to spend a fortune on X670 or X870 boards. A solid B650 or even B850 will get the job done at a much better price.
I've got the MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI, but honestly, I was underwhelmed. The sound quality is lower than I expected, so you might want to consider that when making your choice.
Thanks for the insight! I’ll definitely look into specific reviews after deciding on the chipset.
