I'm looking to spend around $500 to upgrade my PC. I'm considering moving to an AM5 platform with a new CPU and motherboard, but that's a bit tricky because I'd have to leave behind my 32 GB of RAM. Here's what I'm currently working with: 10900k CPU, Gigabyte Z590 AORUS MASTER motherboard, MSI RTX 3070 VENTUS 3X OC graphics card, a 2 TB 990 PRO storage drive, an additional 3 TB of storage, and 32 GB of RAM. I play games at 1440p and I'm close to a Microcenter, which could help with CPU and motherboard bundles. Also, I'm interested in getting into AI a bit with this upgrade. What do you think I should do?

Upgrading to AM5 would require you to switch to DDR5 RAM, which might not fit your $500 budget unless you find a great deal. Just curious, what kind of tasks do you use your PC for? Also, what's the resolution of your monitor?

I'm actually just 15 minutes from Microcenter and I use it mainly for gaming at 1440p.
