Hey everyone! I just snagged a sweet 2160p 120Hz 42" TV and I've been playing with my 5800X and 3070 combo. I'm not into ray tracing or fancy features like FSR or FG, but I do find DLSS really helpful for gaming at this resolution. I'm currently considering what to replace my 3070 with, and I've listed a few options along with their prices (in PLN) that I'm seeing in Poland:

1. RTX 5070 for about PLN 2500 (~$690 / €590). It's the cheapest option and supports DLSS, but the VRAM is a concern.
2. RTX 9070 XT for around PLN 3000 (~$830 / €710). Better performance and VRAM, but no DLSS is a downside.
3. RTX 5070 Ti for about PLN 3700 (~$1030 / €870). Offers higher performance and DLSS, but I feel like I'd be paying too much for VRAM.
4. Wait to see what RTX 5000 Super brings, as I'm thinking there might be something priced well between 5070 and 5070 Ti.
5. Or I could just stick with my 3070 for a while longer. It's been solid for over 3 years and still holds up for now, especially since I don't push it too hard.

I really feel like DLSS is important for ensuring good performance at 2160p, and I'd love your thoughts on these options. Thanks in advance! Also, will my 5800X and 750W PSU handle these GPUs?

I used to have a 5070 Ti and now upgraded to a 5080 for 4K gaming. The DLSS performance with the 5070 Ti is great for 4K, but don't expect to use DLAA effectively in AAA titles at that resolution unless you have a higher-tier card. I'd recommend the 5070 Ti; it should let you push some settings higher than Low on 2160p. DLSS Performance mode is really effective too!

Thanks for the insight! If I go with the 5070 Ti, I’m hoping to bump my settings up from Low at 2160p—sounds promising!

I have to agree, RTX 5070 Ti is probably your best bet if you're keen on staying with NVIDIA and DLSS support. Just be prepared for that price jump; it's a great card for high-res gaming and should serve you well without sacrificing too much performance.

If you're looking for raw power, the 9070 XT is tempting because of its higher specs. The VRAM can handle 2160p better, but you’ll miss out on DLSS, which can be crucial for smoother performance in demanding games. If you're patient, I would suggest considering saving up for an AM5 build for longer-term benefits.

Ugh, now I’m wondering if I need to upgrade my 5800X too!
