Hey everyone! I just landed a job that requires me to use Kubernetes, but I'm still figuring out how extensively it will be part of my work. A friend suggested starting with k3s, but I feel like I'm just copying and pasting YAML files without really understanding what's happening. I'm thinking about trying to learn Kubernetes on my home PC instead since my work laptop is a bit outdated for this. Would you recommend this approach? Any tips? Thanks!

K3s is a solid entry point! You might want to check out Minikube too; that's how I got started. Make sure to write your first few deployments from scratch instead of just relying on AI to generate the code for you. There’s a ton of great tutorials out there that can really help you understand the ins and outs of Kubernetes. Just take it step by step, and don't get discouraged. It can be challenging at first, but if you keep pushing through, you’ll learn a lot! And don't hesitate to ask your coworkers for help when you get stuck—it’s a great way to build connections and speed up your learning process!

Definitely! Engaging with coworkers can really help clarify things.
